Private Autism Assessments
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder causing impairments in social communication, repetitive, restricted patterns of behaviour and unusual sensory sensitivities or interests.
The best long-term outcomes are associated with early diagnosis and application of intensive, ASD specific behavioural interventions and therapies.
In BC, only a formal ASD diagnosis by a Qualified Specialist (QS) allows access to interventions and funding.
Unfortunately, the public system for ASD diagnosis has significant wait times (up to 36 months). Private diagnostic autism assessments for children facilitates timely access to necessary therapies.
Services
I offer private autism assessments in Terrace, BC, for children aged 6 - 15 years. This assessment meets the provincial standards for the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder in British Columbia.
This is in addition to my ongoing ASD assessments through the Northern Health Assessment Network (NHAN).

Completion of the disability tax credit (DTC) - $200

Autism Assessment, from a Qualified Specialist (QS) is required to for provincial funding support. This includes the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS).
